In 1995, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection enacted the Land Recycling and Environmental Remediation Standards Act, commonly referred to as the Act 2 program, which codified requirements for remediation of contaminated properties in the state. Act 2 provides a framework for identifying remediation standards and procedures for applying those standards.

Penn E&R has extensive experience and considerable expertise in cost-effectively guiding our clients through Act 2 regulations to achieve environmental closure and liability protection for remediation of their sites. We have achieved closure of hundreds of sites across the state since the inception of the Act 2 program.
