Ecological Assessment and Land Planning for Pollinator Species Program
Antimicrobial-Fogging Unit Sterilization

Penn E&R has teamed up with a longtime electric utilities client to assist organizers at a Union County nature conservancy with planning the implementation of pollinator plant species on the conservancy’s grounds across central Pennsylvania. The conservancy’s property spans woodlands, agricultural lands, stream and wetlands and is situated adjacent to the local state game lands.

KEY PROJECT TASKS:

While this project is still in the beginning stages, Penn E&R has assembled a project team that prepared an existing features plan of the property. Next steps for the project include a wetland delineation to address and preserve all wetland boundaries and an ecological assessment to identify native and invasive plant species to develop a successful pollinator seed mixture that will thrive in the space. Since this vast property also includes several electric utilities right-of-ways, Penn E&R will manage much of the surveying and permitting tasks so as to not interrupt our electric utilities client’s maintenance of its power transmission lines. Penn E&R’s ecological services team will work with members of the conservancy to develop and plant the seed mixtures then maintain its development.
